NVR & Storage
Local recording · No cloud requiredNetwork video recorders with local HDD storage. Continuous or motion-triggered recording. Typically 20–30 days retention on a properly sized system. Remote viewing via mobile app without cloud subscription.
Ajax Wireless Alarm
Encrypted wireless · Battery backupHub-based wireless alarm covering motion detection, door and window contacts, glass break sensors and outdoor sirens. Encrypted two-way radio — cannot be jammed by standard signal blockers. Continues operating during power cuts.

Why are consumer
cameras not
suitable for villas?
Consumer cameras from retail stores are designed for small apartments in mild climates. They are not built for whole-property coverage, Cyprus summers or professional security requirements. Here is the practical difference.
- Cloud-based storage — footage leaves your property
- Mandatory subscription for full functionality
- Data shared with manufacturer servers
- Designed for mild indoor conditions
- 2–3 year lifespan before quality degrades
- No professional support or warranty path
- Local NVR storage — footage stays on site
- No subscription required for remote viewing
- Professional firmware with long-term security patches
- IP66/67 rated for outdoor Cyprus conditions
- 5–10 year operational lifespan
- Manufacturer warranty and professional service
We work on both —
the approach is different.
Clean installation from the start.
Camera locations, cable routes and NVR position are agreed at design stage. PoE cabling is run during construction — no surface trunking, no visible cable runs. External camera positions are built into the architecture. Panel location is sized and specified before walls are closed.
- Camera positions agreed at design stage
- PoE cabling run during construction
- NVR panel location specified and sized
- No visible surface cable runs
- Full integration with gate automation and intercom
Minimal disruption. Completed in 2–3 days.
We plan cable routes to minimise visible runs — through roof voids, behind skirting boards, inside existing conduits where possible. Ajax wireless alarm for sensor points where cabling is not practical. Most retrofit CCTV projects in Limassol are completed in 2–3 days.
- Routes planned to minimise surface runs
- Through roof voids where accessible
- Ajax wireless alarm for hard-to-reach sensors
- Remote access configured before we leave
- No mandatory subscription after handover

Entry events trigger recording
Gate opens, door bell rings or motion detected — the relevant camera saves a clip tagged to that event. Every entry is logged with timestamp and video.
Camera feeds on smart home screens
Live camera feeds accessible from KNX or Loxone touchscreens throughout the property. See the entrance from the kitchen or the pool from the bedroom.
Motion triggers lighting scenes
Motion detection in garden or driveway zones can trigger exterior lighting scenes automatically — useful for security and for arrival at night.
Remote visitor management
Visitor at the gate while you are abroad — intercom rings your phone, you see the camera, verify the visitor and release the gate. No need to be on site.
Common questions.
How many cameras does a villa need?
A typical 4-bedroom villa in Limassol requires 6–10 cameras for full exterior coverage — main entrance, driveway, all gate access points, pool area, garden perimeter and parking. Interior cameras are uncommon in residential installations. We design coverage based on your floor plan and a site visit.
How long is CCTV footage stored?
Typically 20–30 days of continuous recording on a properly sized NVR. Storage duration depends on camera count, recording resolution and whether motion-triggered or continuous recording is used. We size storage at design stage — not as an afterthought.
Can I view cameras on my phone from abroad?
Yes. All systems we install support remote viewing — Hik-Connect for Hikvision, DMSS for Dahua, UniFi Protect app for UniFi cameras. Remote access is configured and tested before we leave. No additional subscription fee.
What is Ajax and why do you use it?
Ajax is a wireless alarm system with an exceptional reliability record. It uses encrypted two-way radio and battery backup — operates during power cuts and cannot be jammed by standard blockers. We use Ajax where running alarm cabling is not practical, and for retrofit installations where wireless is significantly less disruptive.
Is there a monthly monitoring fee?
No mandatory subscription. Remote viewing and mobile push alerts work without ongoing fees. Professional monitoring through a security company is optional — we can integrate Ajax with a monitoring centre if you want 24/7 response, but it is not required for the system to function.
Can CCTV be integrated with the smart home?
Yes. Entry events — gate opening, door bell press — can trigger camera recording clips. Camera feeds can be displayed on smart home touchscreens. Motion detection can trigger lighting scenes. We design the integration at the same time as both systems.
